In the financial world, an exchange rate is the value of one country’s currency in another country’s currency. In the Exchange world, an Exchange Rate is a live game that turns your words into real dollars for a non-profit of your choice.

In keeping with some of the great reality game shows you know and love, we’ve decided to add an element of fun and intrigue to this year’s Exchange event. We’re giving you the opportunity to stand onstage in front of our celebrity Bankers, John C. Maxwell and Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, and share a 60-second pitch on why your NPO is worth the investment.

Each banker will have the chance to grill about your organization, your involvement with them, and what they would do with the money. To add to the pressure, the Exchange Rate audience will vote for the presentation of their choice, so you don’t just have to win the Bankers—you have to win the room.

When it comes to determining the rate of exchange, all decisions rest with The Bankers: a collection of experts who monitor currency and its value. In our game, The Market will help determine what your words are worth—so the better your pitch, the higher the outcome. This is your opportunity to give back to an organization you’re passionate about by presenting a live, 60-second pitch for the non-profit or "give-back" organization in which you are personally involved.

Here's how Exchange Rate works:

• You will have a set amount of time to pitch your non-profit of choice
• The Bankers will ask questions about the organization and plans for the donation money
• The Market (your fellow Exchange attendees) will participate in the final decision
• Each Banker will have a weighted percentage that will count towards choosing a contestant as the winner
• The winner will receive a donation that they can use to further the mission of their chosen organization

• The non-profit of your choice must be one in which you are personally involved
• If you have a "business partner" who wants to participate along with you in the Exchange Rate pitch, but is not an Exchange Attendee, he or she may be involved in this experience ONLY. He or she must be registered for Exchange 2018 in order to participate in any other experience during the course of the event.
• If a partner is accompanying you during your pitch, they must also submit an application.
• The donation must be used to further the mission of the chosen organization. During presentation time, contestants will outline the plan for the donated money should they win Exchange Tank.
• Application must be submitted no later than Monday, October 1.  We will notify you by Monday, October 22 if you have been selected to pitch your non-profit or give-back idea to the panel, which will take place LIVE in front of all attendees at Exchange in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, November 7.
